Hypoxia Resuscitation

A case of an extremely difficult hypoxic patient requiring advance resuscitation

Top Tips

  1. Have a check list (always)

  2. Trouble shoot the problem immediately, in a critically unwell patient there is no self improvement

  3. Remember the problem may sound complex but the solution is always VERY simple !

  4. Discuss broadly and get all the help you can get to solve the problem

  5. Never transfer an unstable patient to ward, other hospital or ICU, they will almost certainly deteriorate during the transfer
